Jon Kooley (Snowboarding)

June 7, 2010

Jon Kooley is a snowboarder, who only recently was introduced into getting tattoos. The tattoo’s he has, are pretty rocking to be honest. He only got his first one 5 years ago! He also has some of his own signature boards that look pretty sick to.

Food Photography

June 3, 2010

I like photography and I like food, taking pictures of food I believe to be very difficult. Well to get it to look good it is very difficult.

You see all these pictures on twitter of what people are eating normally they are terrible pictures and bad attempts (probably because it’s the apple camera and the lighting on that is poo). Or because the can’t cook, either one really.

It is important to ensure that the right props are used, to not be afraid to get up close, check the natural lighting is just right and the artifical if required! That the background is taken into consideration.

Artist Louise Bourgeois dies.

June 2, 2010

The French and/or American contemporary artist Louise Bourgeois has died! (remember those giant metal spiders??).

She was 98! so not like she left us too soon!! She released many bizarre pieces of art through out the years.

Bourgeois, was awarded the Légion d’honneur in New York in 2008. Born in Paris on December 25, 1911, Bourgeois moved to the United States in 1938 where she produced the bulk of her emotionally powerful and provocative art which explored the traumas of her childhood and sexuality.

RIP
